It was the water power of St. Anthony Falls that made Minneapolis the flour milling capital of the world from 1870s to 1965. This made the riverfront an industrial area. In the last decade Minneapolis has re-discovered its riverfront. There are now condominiums, restaurants, museums, and the Guthrie Theater. The closest bridge is a bike and pedestrian bridge which connects parks on each side of the river.

ReplyDeleteIt was both a cloudy, rainy day and the window was rain spattered. I'm sure it wasn't too clean either. Don't think it hurt the pictures.
DeleteHello Birdman, Ed, Karl, and Jack. These photos were shot last Saturday from the Mill City Museum through a window on a rainy day. There was no extensive post processing to create what you see. It was largely straight from the camera.
