Horses and Mules Pull Wagons

  1. Kind of early for hayrides, isn't it? :) I recall being told that horses and mules don't work together too well...is that true?

    1. Believe that is true. Also mules never forget being mistreated, so they must be handled gently. Mule skinners develop positive relationships with them. This was at the Laura Ingalls Wilder pageant in De Smet, SD. The rides were free once at the pageant.

    1. The weather was perfect! Temperatures in the low 70s, clear sky, and light breeze. There were no insects apparent that evening, but the car got covered with bug splattered on the way home. That farm wagon is an antique.
