1952 John Deere B Tractor

    1. It is a cool tractor in great shape. All the lights and equipment on it works just as it should.

  2. The steering wheel is an interesting construction. I had a look at some other tractors of this area (e.g. Eicher) and didn't see this with any other models (okay, I only looked at perhaps five ... )

    1. The steering wheel is completely original to the JD B of this era. Its simple design was an element that attracted me to these pictures. This was the last year for this model JD. The company made the model B from the mid-1930s to 1952, and by this time it came with hydraulics, lights, power take-off, and other features not found on earlier models.

  3. I'm very fond of old tractors, and this one looks great. I like the elongated photo.

    1. Both these pictures are unaltered except for color. The long hood on the tractor is a consequence of the angle from which the photo was taken and the wide angle lens setting.
