Sexauer Seeds and Main Line East

  1. The name caught my eye and did some searching: "the location played a role in the success of the Seed Company when it was established around 1897. The Sexauer Seed Company Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001." - this is the place?

    1. Martina, I believe you are correct. The Sexauer Seed Company had grain elevators all across the upper Midwest. The Sexauer family lives here in Brookings, SD, so I've always assumed this was their home office.

  2. I'm especially fond of this second photo and am drawn, as it appears you were, to the graffiti in those beautiful shades of blue.

  3. It was the graffiti that first caught my eye. Wish graffiti artists would direct their talents to more acceptable outlets.
