  1. I've heard a lot about cotton-pickers, but not much about corn-pickers. Looks interesting!

    Re your comment: Tree people tell me that Spanish Moss does not hurt our trees. But so many trees I see with a lot of Spanish Moss look like they're dying. I always tried to pull it off the trees at our old house in Ocala.

  2. This is an interesting corn picker. It was designed, built, and used by the Overby Brothers, black smiths and mechanics, before commercially designed horse drawn corn pickers were available. It was the patent model, and was then used enough to wear out most of the moving parts. It must have worked.

    Good to know that Spanish Moss isn't a parasite.
