Ione's Cafe burned down in March 1984 at 3 am during a blizzard. The building has never been replaced.

ReplyDeleteThat’s a poignant memory. It must have been a real loss for the community, especially during a blizzard when a warm place would have meant so much.
ReplyDeleteThe firemen went across the street to another cafe to warm up while fighting the fire. They were able to save the buildings on both sides, but not this one.
