Candle Light Vigil


This candle light vigil was held in Sioux Falls, SD on January 9th, 2026 to honor Renee Nicole Good, and protest ICE's murder of her. There was also a similar candle light vigil held in Brookings, SD at the same time. These vigils were dignified, peaceful, quiet, and sang a few songs.

      Bill, there were over 1,000 demonstrations nation-wide to protest the ICE killing.

      Yes, it was cold, about -1°C with a north wind making it feel even colder.

    The world is becoming more and more a cold, dark and scary place. It seems we are going from bad to worse. Still, to light a candle is better than cursing the darkness. Thanks for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme.

    It would be very hard to be calm at a vigil like this one. I would be very, very angry. The poor woman was murdered, and the Trump administration is lying about it.
