1914 Holt 45 Restored
This may be the oldest tractor on two tracks in existence. It was built by the Holt Manufacturing Co. of Peoria, Illinois. The tractor was shipped to the U.S. Army testing grounds in Kansas where it was "tested" until it broke the frame, and was repaired by the Army. The tracks and all the rolling machinery has been restored. There are still a few finishing touches and awaiting its first start after restoration. Later Holt and Best of California merged to become Caterpillar.

Signs At Demonstration
There was a "Hands Off" demonstration last Saturday against the Trump-Musk administration in Brooking, SD where about 500 people marched to protest what is happening in Washington.

Sandhill Cranes
This year over 700,000 Sandhill cranes stopped to rest and feed along the Platte River in Nebraska before continuing their migration to northern Canada and Alaska. It is an amazing sight to see them coming back to the river where they feel safe from predators to spend the night.
